Your secret history is never far away. For instance, in my neighborhood, a rail line ran from Olathe east through Stanley to Martin City. The track was visible on an 1886 county map, but was abandoned by the 1930s. The old right of way is now part of the walking paths by Negro creek in the Creekside sub-division. Iron Horse golf course borders the former rail path down stream. I searched for railroad remnants on walks but I haven't found any yet. I got nothing.
